Webmaster's note:
Martin's "Quatre pièces brèves pour guitar" was written for Segovia but he never recorded them and there is no evidence that he ever played them on stage. It was Bream who brought these pieces to the awareness of other guitarist when he first recorded then in 1967 on his "20th Century Guitar" album.
All of the four recordings on EMI Classics were released on compact disc only. While the back covers only contain very basic information, the CD booklet is very informative.
