Julian Bream at The Proms
The Proms is a summer festival of orchestral classical music concerts. The festival takes place daily for a period of eight weeks with several different performances per day. The concerts are predominantly performed in the Royal Albert Hall in central London. The Proms or The BBC Proms, was formally known as The Henry Wood Promenade Concerts and was founded in 1895. It is now organized and broadcast by the BBC. This festival season is a significant event in British culture and in classical music.
